Labor Day, 2004. Our mission is to pull out the
closet in this room. This room is the worst. Falling lathe
and plaster and gobs of blown-in insulation. |
Karol is well protected. |
Karol is scary. |
The room had a drop ceiling (where the wallpaper ends). We
took it down. At great risk to life and limb. We threw the
lumber etc out the window and on to a tarp on the lawn. |
Doesn't look like much, but it's home. |
Framing in the closet. |
Framing gone. It's magic. |
We are not removing all that lathe and plaster! Mike will
brace it up and we'll drywall. Some day! |
We did get down to the lathe around the doorway. At this time
(Feb 2005), this room is still not done. Waiting for a break in
the weather so we can get a delivery of dry wall. At least that's
what we tell ourselves! |
March 20 -- we rent the dry wall lifter for Bedroom 3! |
Measure twice, cut once! |
This room needed the most "covering up" |
3/4 of the way done. |
Nice clean walls. |
Mike's famous tray ceiling. |
Kept the alcove alive for the bed. |
Looking in from the hall. |
Jess hanging border. We can't find the pictures of the
painting day.... |
We love this girl! |
